Warehouse picking
Turn selected sales-order or replacement demand into a picking task, with product, bin, lot and serial checks before the packing stage can proceed.
Give the warehouse a bounded task
Select the order lines to fulfill and create a task for that quantity instead of asking the warehouse to interpret the entire commercial order. The pick keeps the source demand and physical stock context together. Operators work with the relevant product, bin and tracking information and can distinguish completed lines from the work still outstanding.
Hand off to packing only when ready
With the pick-and-pack workflow enabled, a linked packing task is prepared alongside the pick and stays blocked until the selected picking work is complete. Open the existing pack from the completed task rather than creating a duplicate. Partial order fulfillment uses smaller tasks, preserving the unfulfilled demand for subsequent work.
What to know before you start
Picking is not the final shipping event. The company can choose a direct-shipment workflow; manufacturing material picks have their own consumption handoff and do not use sales packing.
Practical questions
Must I pick the whole order at once?
No. Select the lines and quantities for the current fulfillment task, leaving the rest for later work.
Why is the packing task blocked?
The selected pick must be completed first. This prevents packing unconfirmed quantities and keeps the handoff explicit.
Continue the workflow
Packing and package contents
Turn completed picks into identifiable packages with recorded contents, weights and dimensions, ready to hand off to the shipment workflow.
Outbound shipments
Finalize outgoing goods against the correct order or replacement case, retaining package, quantity and source details with the stock movement.
Manufacturing material picking
Prepare the complete material requirement from the released BOM, with warehouse, bin, lot and serial checks before production steps are unlocked.
