Outbound shipments
Finalize outgoing goods against the correct order or replacement case, retaining package, quantity and source details with the stock movement.
Make the physical handoff a recorded event
Prepare a shipment from the relevant source demand and, where used, the packages that were picked and packed. The document keeps customer and source-line context with the goods leaving the warehouse. Direct shipment is also available through the company's configured workflow when separate pick-and-pack tasks are not required.
Understand exactly when stock changes
Preparing a shipment opens an unsaved document for review. Saving it finalizes the inventory movement and valuation effects; a display status is not a separate promise to post later. Availability and package ownership are checked again at save time. Source order progress updates from the resulting physical fulfillment, independently of whether an invoice has been issued.
What to know before you start
Review before saving: a saved shipment posts stock effects. This is not a promise of integrated carrier label purchase, live parcel tracking or automatic customer invoicing.
Practical questions
Does opening a prepared shipment reserve it permanently?
No. The prepared document is unsaved; the current stock and package situation is revalidated when you save.
Is shipping the same as invoicing?
No. Physical fulfillment and invoicing have separate documents and progress states, even when they belong to the same sales order.
Continue the workflow
Packing and package contents
Turn completed picks into identifiable packages with recorded contents, weights and dimensions, ready to hand off to the shipment workflow.
Sales invoicing
Create customer invoices with products, terms and tax treatment, keep order-linked pricing intact and produce branded documents for customer delivery.
Returns and warranty replacements
Manage an RMA with explicit return and replacement decisions, original-shipment references, stock-aware receiving and independent progress for each physical leg.
