Italian electronic-invoice legal storage
Use the configured legal-storage option for the supported Italian electronic-invoicing workflow, keeping it distinct from ordinary PDF attachments and report exports.
A stored attachment is not the whole preservation process
An invoice PDF is useful for reading and review, but regulated electronic-document preservation is a separate service and configuration. Where the supported Italian legal-storage option is enabled, it belongs to the electronic-invoicing workflow and its eligible documents. Confirm activation and scope rather than assuming every uploaded file receives the same treatment.
Keep access and preservation questions separate
Document-specific PDF or XML downloads help retrieve the invoice artifact you need. Monitoring explains transmission and processing status. Legal preservation answers a different question about the configured archival service. During onboarding, verify which document categories are covered, how the service is enabled and how to obtain the evidence your accountant needs.
What to know before you start
Do not assume that all attachments, imported spreadsheets or report PDFs are legally preserved. Confirm the activated service and eligible document scope before relying on it for an obligation.
Practical questions
Does downloading a PDF prove legal preservation?
No. Artifact download and regulated preservation are distinct capabilities and evidence.
Is legal storage automatically enabled for every company?
Verify the company's configuration and service scope. It is a specific option in the supported Italian workflow.
