Choose with a clear picture of how the work gets done.

Practical answers about native inventory, manufacturing, AI assistance, bank connections, reporting and the boundaries of supported workflows.

AI accounting assistant

Does the assistant replace my accountant?

No. It helps execute supported workflows and retrieve information. Professional judgment, tax advice and required approvals remain with your team and advisers.

Do I have to work only through chat?

No. The platform also provides structured operational forms, lists and reports for direct review and day-to-day work.

Inventory management

Do I need Unleashed or Katana?

No. FOR:INVENTORY is native and does not require a separate warehouse application. Moving from an existing inventory system requires a planned product and opening-stock setup.

Is on-hand stock the same as available stock?

No. Existing reservations and fulfillment commitments can reduce what is available to promise or consume, even while the goods are physically in the warehouse.

Manufacturing management

Is FOR:FACTORY an external manufacturing integration?

No. Its BOMs, manufacturing orders, material picks and execution records are native capabilities connected to the platform's inventory workflow.

Can an operator simply mark a job complete?

Closure requires the relevant materials, completed steps, quality evidence and confirmed final output. A status alone does not replace that work.

Bank connections

Is FOR:EXCHANGE for currency exchange or EDI?

No. It connects bank accounts and supports imported bank-transaction workflows. Currency accounting and external operations integrations are separate capabilities.

Will every movement be recorded automatically?

No. Per-account settings, permissions, subscription rules and the transaction's matching outcome determine what happens.

Business reporting and analytics

Must I build a custom report for statutory registers?

Use the available curated standard register first. Custom authoring is a separate capability and does not replace the supported compliance layout.

Can a restricted report reader create new reports?

Viewing and exporting company reports does not automatically grant report-authoring permission.

Excel and CSV data import

Should I upload a spreadsheet as if it were an invoice image?

Use FOR:DATA for a table of records. PDF or image document extraction is a separate workflow.

How do I know the import is complete?

Compare the source rows with processing outcomes and created records, including any rejected or unresolved items.

Commerce and payment integrations

Does connecting a platform activate every transformation?

No. The customer rules and enabled flows determine the intended behavior.

Is an ecommerce refund always the same as a credit note?

The correct target depends on the source event, payment state and agreed accounting policy. Configure the mapping explicitly.

Team roles and accountant collaboration

Can my accountant read reports without editing transactions?

The Compliance role supports viewing and exporting available company reports without granting general posting or report-authoring rights.

Does assigning two limited roles grant full access?

No. Responsibilities combine additively within the defined policy rather than becoming unrestricted.

Periodic VAT summaries and returns

Does this file the Italian annual VAT declaration?

Do not equate periodic VAT calculation or IVP18 preparation with the annual declaration. Confirm the exact statutory output you need with your adviser.

Can a report-only user post the VAT journal?

No. Viewing and downloading reports does not by itself grant financial posting permission.
