Intrastat preparation
Review eligible intra-EU transactions, classify the required trade information and prepare the supported country reporting output for your filing workflow.
Add trade information that accounting totals alone cannot supply
Intrastat preparation needs more than invoice totals. The workflow examines eligible transactions and the available partner, country and line-level information. Classification may require commodity details, quantities, weights or other fields appropriate to the supported declaration. Review the proposed values and use the supported overrides for the lines that need correction.
Prepare a reviewed filing output
Company identifiers and the selected country configuration determine the supported output path. Keep the reporting period and source-document selection explicit, and inspect exceptions rather than filling missing trade facts with arbitrary defaults. Saved instructions can help repeat a known classification pattern, but new or unusual products still need appropriate review.
What to know before you start
Thresholds, required declarations and submission channels vary. Confirm obligations and file requirements with your adviser; preparation does not imply automatic filing to every EU authority.
Practical questions
Can AI classification replace missing product facts?
Review proposed classifications and supply the required factual information. A plausible description is not evidence of weight, quantity or commodity treatment.
Is Intrastat the same as a VAT register?
No. It is a separate trade-reporting workflow with its own classifications and required fields.
