Stock transfers
Move goods between warehouses or bins with paired source and destination movements, preserving quantities, product tracking and inventory value.
One transfer, two clear locations
Choose the product and quantity, then identify the warehouse and bin on each side. The transfer form shows mirrored source and destination panels so the operator can inspect both before saving. Lot or serial choices follow the product's tracking requirements. Ambiguous storage locations are not filled by guessing which bin the operator intended.
Preserve value while changing location
Saving records the paired transfer-out and transfer-in through the normal availability and valuation workflow. The source must have sufficient stock, and source and destination cannot describe the same location. Saved conversions keep quantity interpretation consistent. The result is a traceable relocation, not a purchase, sale or unexplained stock gain.
What to know before you start
The current transfer form posts a paired relocation when saved. Do not assume a separate in-transit dispatch and receiving lifecycle for new transfers.
Practical questions
Can I transfer between two bins in one warehouse?
Yes, provided the source and destination differ and the stock is available at the source.
Does a transfer create a supplier bill?
No. It changes the physical location of existing stock, not ownership through a purchase transaction.
Continue the workflow
Warehouses and bin locations
Organize stock across warehouses and bin locations, so receiving, picking and transfers refer to a specific physical place instead of a company-wide quantity.
Lot and batch tracking
Keep lot identity with receipts, warehouse stock and downstream movements, so batch-specific work does not disappear into a single product total.
Inventory operations and valuation reports
Review open inventory work and stock value through supported operations and valuation reports, including warehouse, lot and serial perspectives.
