Inventory product catalogue
Manage stocked products, internal components, purchasing units, tracking choices and costing in an operational catalogue connected to your commercial documents.
Products for the work you actually do
A warehouse needs more than an invoice description. Inventory products carry the operational identity used by stock, purchasing and manufacturing. Internal components can be purchased, made and consumed without pretending they are customer-facing sales products. A product becomes eligible for sales through its valid finance-product link and required sales configuration.
Find the right product before entering a quantity
Product choices put codes first, descriptions second, with stock and internal-only distinctions appropriate to the workflow. Purchasing and sales descriptions serve different purposes. Configure stock and purchase/make units, tracking and costing deliberately: documents retain their saved identity and conversion history rather than being silently rewritten after a catalogue change.
What to know before you start
An internal product is not sellable until its finance link and sales setup are valid. Used stock identities and valuation history are protected; plan catalogue changes before processing stock.
Practical questions
Can I manufacture a component that I do not sell?
Yes. Active inventory products configured for manufacturing can be used without a customer-facing finance product.
Will a catalogue edit change old documents?
Saved operational documents preserve important product, description, cost and unit snapshots. A current catalogue value is not a substitute for historical evidence.
Continue the workflow
Units of measure and conversions
Work with stock and purchase/make units while preserving the conversion used by each source document, so catalogue edits do not rewrite historical quantities.
Lot and batch tracking
Keep lot identity with receipts, warehouse stock and downstream movements, so batch-specific work does not disappear into a single product total.
Price lists and customer discounts
Set fixed or percentage sales rules with customer and group precedence, currency and quantity context, while preserving the price agreed on an existing order.
